Chris and I started this album in 2013. Chris would bring me records to sample and we'd watch 80s commercials and dream up this concept. He came up with the name Black and Chrome and lots of other cool ideas.
I made all the beats on the Roland SP404sx sampling records and playing drums, bass, synths etc.

Chris recorded some raps at my house and I suspect he recorded more at his house. He had the most vivid and detailed vision for the album, I remember being really impressed with this as I'd not worked with anyone who seemed to know the final product before it was done.

Life got in the way and for no particular reason the project just sat there unfinished

10 years goes by....

Late 2021 I decided to catalogue some my old music on Bandcamp and put this up. I thought the Miami Vice pic captured what Chris and I talked about with a sense of humour....pimpin 'resort wear' linen on blast, some weird/ shit Ferrari, a sawn-off and some cool coastline breezes...you can almost smell the Drakkar Noir in the air

Jan 2022 Chris and I start chatting about finishing and releasing the album but so sadly and suddenly I learned that Chris passed away on Wednesday the 15th Feb 2023. Mate, I'm so sorry we didn't get to finish this...Nonetheless, I still think its great and thoughts of your passion for this music this will remain with me, many thanks for being such a great human!
